New Ford GT

Ford GT in Edinburgh, Scotland & Liverpool

The infamous Ford GT is highly recognisable and has been the leading performance vehicle for the worldwide Ford brand for many years.

The Ford GT is the culmination of everything great carried out at Ford, and it's the same passion for innovation that can be seen throughout the entire Ford vehicle line-up.

 Ford GT Engine & Performance

The Ford GT is powered by a 3.5L twin turbo V6 EcoBoost engine. The award winning EcoBoost engine is present in almost all of Ford's line up including the all new Ford Mustang, so it's hardly surprising Ford has developed its class leading engine into this supercar. Additionally, the mid mounted engine manages to generate more than 600PS when combined with a 7 speed dial clutch gear box complete with paddle shift.

Modern supercars are not just about huge amounts of power, which is why the new Ford GT is made mostly from carbon fibre along with other space age materials ensuring a very light weight car. Ultra efficient aerodynamics also play a big part in the GT's performance, with the classic tear drop shape allowing for reduced drag whilst maximising engine cooling.

The hi-tech Ecoboost engine is a perfect fit for the car. The 3.5L V6 has more power than the 6.2L V8, and better economy. That blend of performance with efficiency is so important in a car like the Ford GT.

Innovation

Innovation - That's what the Ford GT is all about. From its aerodynamically optimized shape to its multifunctional buttresses to its extraordinarily powerful engine, everything about the Ford GT is designed to deliver pure performance.

Super light & super strong. The lightweight body is made of carbon fibre. Aluminium structures minimize the weight of the high-strength sub frames, creating the ultimate expressions of technological innovation.

Designed for speed and performance, whether on the road or on the track, every single element of the Ford GT was designed to deliver the extraordinary speed and exceptional handling found only in purpose-built racing cars.
