The highly-rated Ford Fiesta, the UK’s top-selling car, returns in its seventh generation in 2017, bigger and better than ever. An array of new and enhanced features and design innovations combine to make the latest Fiesta the world’s most technologically-advanced small car.
The 2017 Fiesta comes in a range of trim levels, with all but Vignale grades available in three- and five-door body styles. Vignale trims (offered on five-door models only), boast 18-inch alloy wheels, bespoke body style details and special colour options.
The sportily inclined ST-Line also features alloy wheels, and uniquely-fashioned fixtures that include a radiator grille, side skirts and a revised rear bumper.
Titanium grades are adorned with a unique chrome front grille and refashioned bumpers. Full details for Zetec and Style trims (the latter available for fleet customers only) have yet to be revealed.
The first ever Fiesta crossover will be made available in 2018 and is represented by the Active grade. It possesses raised suspension, roof bars and chunky good looks.
The new Fiesta offers more room than ever thanks to an increase in width, length and height. Each seat is larger and more supportive than before, and provides increased adjustability. Regardless of grade, the driver benefits from a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel. ST-Line trims feature sports seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and alloy pedals.
Three Euro Stage 6 petrol and diesel engines are available for the new Fiesta, each with fuel-conserving Auto Start-Stop technology. These range from 1.0-litre to 1.5-litre units, with seven power outputs, starting at 69bhp and peaking at 138bhp. Petrol engines are expected to produce CO2 emissions that start at 97g/km, while diesel alternatives are anticipated to return a figure as low as 82g/km.
Each model is fitted with a 10-speaker B&O Play sound system, offering selectable Surround Sound among other things. Colour display screens deliver class-leading resolution and brightness, and come in 4.2-inch, 6.5-inch and eight-inch sizes, with the latter two offering intuitive pinch-and-swipe gesturing.
It is expected that the new Fiesta will score Euro NCAP’s highest safety rating. As many as 15 driver aids are featured, including:
The all-new Fiesta will be available to test drive at Peoples Ford at each of our north west of England and east of Scotland dealerships. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for more information or to register your interest.
