Ford Grand CMAX is Virtual Triumph

Ford are no stranger to innovative marketing campaigns, and are the automotive leaders when it comes to creating engaging, thought provoking campaigns using modern technology such as social networking sites and now 3d ‘out-of-home’ technology.

Ad campaigns are no longer about choosing one single format to engage with target consumers like billboards, posters at stations and magazine adverts but rather marketers are now picking their way through even more innovative technologies such as the use of 3D depth imaging technology, which is currently being used throughout the UK at participating shopping centres in order to present the new family orientated, seven seat Grand C-MAX.

Visitors at some of the largest shopping centres within the UK such as Birmingham and Gateshead have been lucky enough to explore a virtual version of the new Ford car, within the car park.

Digital screens measuring 40cm by 100cm, sensing movement and hand gestures allow consumers to interact with the virtual model, changing the colour of the bodywork, opening and closing doors, turning the steering wheel and of course viewing from all angles.
