The star attraction in Ford’s display at next month’s Paris Motor Show has been revealed – the new next-generation Ford Focus range, topped by the high performance ST.
Three production-ready, dynamic bodystyles will be displayed together in the Focus line-up, providing visitor with a full insight into the new model before it goes on sale in 2011. At the top of the range, a global performance version will be featured in the form of the muscular 250 PS Focus ST. This will launch in early 2012, and will be unveiled at the show by Ford CEO Allan Mulally and Ford of Europe CEO Stephen Odell.
The Focus is Ford’s most significant car range in the global market. The next-generation model is the most important yet, created from Ford’s new global C segment platform, which will underpin at least ten vehicles worldwide and account for two million units of annual production by 2012.
The new Focus comes in three bodystyles – a sporty five-door, elegant four-door and stylish wagon. Show goers will have an exclusive insight into the car’s unique design and innovative technology. The new models offer customers high quality, detailed craftsmanship, excellent fuel economy and a driving experience like no other.
The star of the show, the ST, features a 250 PS version of the new 2.0 litre, four cylinder Ford EcoBoost engine and offers drivers the intoxicating blend of thrilling performance, precise handling and an electrifying sound. The car’s stylish exterior is finished in ‘Tangerine Scream’, a dramatic new body colour that reflects the energy and excitement of the car.
The Paris Motor Show runs from 2nd to 17th October.
