

Much loved by families everywhere British automakers, Ford, move into their 100th year of UK market leadership where they celebrate 34 sequential years of leading Ford new car sales, and a massive 45 years at the top for UK commercial vehicle sales.
According to SMMT, Ford has been the best-selling vehicle range for families and consumers of every age which has secured almost 15% of the overall automotive market share, and the UKs total 2010 sales market.
The UKs best seller for the 2nd year running is the new Ford Fiesta, joined by the Ford Galaxy as segment leaders in fleet, retail and total sales too.
Registering significant sales increases compared to 2009 were the Ford Transit and Ford Fiesta van adding commercial sales to the grand total of 280,364 new Ford cars sold within the UK last year. The all new Ford Fiesta model was the UK automotive sales leader having taken over from the leading Ford Focus in 2009, completing 103,013 registrations.
British automakers Ford were the overall UK retail sales leader in December 2010 with class leading models such as the Ford Ka, Fiesta, C-Max, and the new Ford Galaxy. Despite anticipating a tough automotive market in 2011, the award winning brand are looking forward to an equally successful Centenary year starting with the launch of the exciting new Ford Focus in Spring/ Summer 2011.
