14 Day Money Back Guarantee

Your ability to request a refund within 14 days will be affected by the method used to buy the car, and also whether the sale was made at distance (e.g. over the phone or online), or whilst at at a physical Peoples dealership.

During the 14-Day Money Back Guarantee Period, you may request to cancel your order and the return of the car to us, provided you have not damaged the car or driven more than 250 miles during the 14 days. If you have, we have discretion whether to allow the 14-Day Money Back Guarantee or not and may reject your right to return the car.

If you have paid for the car by entering into a third-party finance agreement, you will also need to tell the finance provider that you wish to withdraw from your finance agreement - we will not do this for you.

If the V5 has not yet been received by the customer and cannot be returned with the car, a sum of £250 shall be retained from the refund until such time as the original V5 is provided, or the dealership is able to submit the registered keeper change online.

If you exercise your right to cancel the vehicle within the 14 day period, and have sold a used vehicle to us as part exchange for the vehicle, we may at our discretion either refund the sum attributed to the part exchange vehicle at the time the agreement was entered into, or return the part exchange vehicle to you, if it remains available. Where the part exchange vehicle has been subject to repairs by us, you will be required to pay to us the cost of the repairs if you wish to retain the part exchange vehicle.

Exclusions apply - only valid on cars which have been fully purchased online.

Extended Warranty

All of our Peoples used cars will come with a minimum of 6 months extended warranty, unless otherwise stated by your salesperson and this updated term would be detailed on your order form at point of sale. Manufacturer warranty terms and conditions can vary depending on the product and the manufacturer. Please speak to your sales team member at point of purchase for more information.

Minimum 6 months MOT

All our Peoples used cars will come with a minimum of 6 months MOT. Our service checks are undertaken by trained technicians and are the industry's most comprehensive. Please speak to your sales team member at point of purchase for more information.

Home Delivery

Once you’ve found the right vehicle, you will be able to buy or reserve the vehicle remotely & arrange collection or home delivery.

Home delivery on used cars is free if you live under 30 miles from the Peoples Motors dealership where the vehicle is purchased. Any subsequent delivery cost is calculated at an additional £2 per mile over and above 30 miles.

Home delivery is only available Monday - Friday and across mainland England, Wales and Scotland (subject to the delivery location being accessible). The following locations are excluded from Home Delivery: Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Orkney Isles, Outer and Inner Hebrides, Western Isles, Shetland Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles and Channel Isles.

Home Delivery will be to the customer address on the Vehicle Order Form which must match the address on the customer's driver's licence.

The vehicle will be driven to the customer address by the supplying dealership (or its agent).

Delivery of the vehicle will only be to the named customer and their driver's licence must be available to be re-checked on delivery.

Free Roadside Assistance

All of our Peoples used cars will come with a minimum 12 months roadside assistance. Your order form will detail 12 months AA roadside assistance package. You will be supplied with your membership sheet detailing your package.

200 Point Check

Every vehicle has undergone a 200 point health check at Peoples before it is offered for sale. Our service checks are undertaken by trained technicians and are the industry's most comprehensive. If it doesn't meet our standards, you won't see it. Simple as that.

✗ Vehicle data checks, outstanding finance, VIN match, previous owners or mileage accuracy

✗ Oil and fuel consumption

✗ Sources of oil leaks

✗ Multimedia systems or sat navs

✗ Cylinder compression

✗ Air-conditioning function and efficiency (using specific diagnostic equipment)

✗ Vehicle electrics and electronics (requiring the use of specific diagnostic equipment)

✗ Exhaust emissions and/or catalytic converters (requiring the use of gas analysing equipment)

✗ Habitation area of motor homes (electrical systems; water/gas fittings and associated appliances; body/caravan area for water ingress or dampness)
