About Peoples Automotive Group
Peoples Automotive Group is a 44-year-old, family-owned automotive business operating across multiple OEM brands and our own used car brand, ‘UsedPlus+’. We’re consistently recognised for the quality and impact of our marketing and culture, including Ford Marketing Team of the Year (back-to-back), nine Ford marketing awards, BYD Marketing Team of the Year, OMODA | JAECOO Marketing Team of the Year, an OMODA | JAECOO Global Brand Award, an OMODA | JAECOO Innovator Award, and Ford’s DEI President’s Award three years running. We take marketing seriously, expect high standards, and back delivery over theatre.
The role
Social is always moving here. Multiple brands. Multiple channels. Launches, campaigns, partnerships, day-to-day conversation – all live, all public.
We’re looking for a hands-on social media operator to sit right in the middle of that and keep it running. Someone who lies being close to the action, enjoys the pace, and takes pride in channels that feel alive and well managed.
You’ll be publishing content, managing communities, coordination influencers, supporting launches and reacting to what’s happening – often in real time. This role exists because there’s too much going on for social to be passive.
Responsibilities
In practice you’ll be responsible for:
- Owning the day-to-day running of social across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube, keeping channels active, relevant and well managed
- Making sure content is going out consistently across multiple brands - organic and paid - without needing to be chased
- Managing comments, messages and conversations as they happen, keeping response standards high
- Coordinating influencer activity, from briefing and scheduling through to approvals and follow-up
- Supporting launches, campaigns and events as they happen - sometimes planned, sometimes reactive, sometimes on site
- Spotting moments worth acting on, reacting quickly, and capturing light, opportunistic content where it adds value
- Keeping an eye on what’s landing and what isn’t, and feeding back clear, useful insight, not noise
Who this suits
We reckon this will work best for someone who:
- Hands-on experience managing social media channels, ideally across multiple brands or accounts
- Strong copywriting skills, with good judgement on tone, clarity and sensitivity
- Solid community management experience, comfortable handling live conversations and comments
- The ability to create simple, effective static assets when needed (e.g. Canva, Adobe Express or similar) without waiting on a designer
- Confidence working cross-functionally, communicating clearly with Marketing, Sales, CX and external partners — often at pace and from a distance
- Is comfortable operating at volume and under pressure
- Can juggle multiple priorities without letting standards slip
- Has good instincts about when to react quickly and when to pause
- Takes pride in keeping things moving and channels well run
- Comfortable working flexibly when needed
Experience in automotive, retail or multi-brand environments is a strong advantage, but the ability to deliver consistently in a live environment matters more.
