Autism Acceptance Week

At Peoples, we are dedicated to supporting the local community and causes close to our hearts. During Autism Acceptance Week we wanted to mix things up in our mission to raise money for Autism Initiatives, by challenging our teams across Scotland and Liverpool to a pie-throwing contest.

That's right, we gave our staff the chance to pie their managers in the face, for a £5 donation to Autism Initiatives. It's fair to say this went down a treat! We spent the afternoon creating a big mess all in aid of Autism Initiatives, and learning what it is like for neuro-divergent people living their lives day to day.

As well as throwing pies, we made a £1 donation and wore our very brightest outfits to show our support, and guessed how many balloons were in the Ford Puma, for a chance at winning a hamper.

Autism Initiatives

Since 1972, Autism Initiatives has worked alongside autistic people to develop a deeper understanding of how each person may see and process the world differently. The work of Autism Initiatives is seen across the UK, Ireland and Isle of Man and has changed the lives of many. We at Peoples Automotive Group are proud and privileged to support them in their mission.

The Grand Total

As a team, we managed to raise an amazing £2,500 for Autism Initiatives through our fundraising efforts, as well as making quite a big mess.

We had a great day, bonding as a team, as well as raising awareness about Autism, something that is prominent in day to day lives for many.
