Why We’re Introducing the EV Tax Rebate

The recent UK Budget confirmed a 3p-per-mile tax for pure electric vehicles, due to take effect in 2028–2029. While the policy is still three years away, OMODA & JAECOO is taking steps to support customers early by offering a saving equivalent to 20,000 miles of future EV use.

By applying this benefit today on approved 48-month finance agreements, customers effectively lock in a contribution that offsets part of the future tax burden—helping reduce total cost of ownership over the full life of the finance term.

With the average UK EV travelling around 8,740 miles per year, this rebate represents two to three years of mileage covered up-front.
