RECORD-BREAKING EFFICIENCY

THE RECORD-BREAKING JOURNEY STARTED AT PEOPLES.

Before taking on three of the UK’s highest peaks, the JAECOO 7 SHS-P made a stop at our brand-new Peoples OMODA JAECOO Edinburgh showroom.

The car was photographed at the showroom ahead of the challenge before our team made sure it was fully charged and ready to go.

From there, we helped transport the JAECOO 7 SHS-P from Peoples to the foot of Ben Nevis, where the record attempt began.

We were proud to play our part in getting the car ready for a challenge that would take it across Scotland, England and Wales — and ultimately into the record books.

The final leg took the challenge into Wales, with high winds and changing conditions on the approach to Pen-y-Pass and Yr Wyddfa.

TV presenter Ben Shephard took on the UK’s Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa back to back.

Three mountains. Three countries. Not much sleep.

For the record to count, Ben had to reach all three summits while the JAECOO 7 SHS-P transported him between them using as little fuel as possible.

The mountains were the hard part.

In between climbs, Ben had a warm, quiet seat to rest his legs before taking on the next peak.

Ben made all three summits.

The JAECOO 7 SHS-P covered 469.5 miles at 68.7 MPG.

Together, they set a new Guinness World Records™ title.
