For the entire Ford vehicle range, 2014 was one of the most successful years in terms of the sheer number of awards.
A total of ten prizes and titles were given to the Ford Fiesta throughout the year. These included Car of the Year at the Telegraph Motoring Awards, Small Car of the Year at the Diesel Car Awards, and WhatCar?'s Best Small Car.
The Transit range of vans performed similarly – together, the Transit, Custom and Connect models claimed 22 awards.
For the Transit Custom, several Best Medium Van awards showed its capability. The Connect was likewise the Best Small Van for many, with the new Transit winning as a large van and light commercial vehicle. The Fiesta Van was also a 2014 Small Van of the Year.
Both the Ford S-MAX and C-MAX were named Best MPV. The S-MAX was singled out by the Business Car Awards for the seventh time, and Honest John made it four years in a row for the C-MAX.
And, proving the longevity of Ford cars, the Focus triumphed at the WhatCar? Used Car Awards. It was the Best Used Car of the Year, and reclaimed the Best Used Family Car title for the fourth time in eight years.
Awards for Ford as a manufacturer completed the year's impressive haul. Winning Van Manufacturer of the Year was expected, considering the versatility of the range. Ford was also the Best Volume Manufacturer at the Fleet200 Awards, confirming the continued appeal of Ford models as company cars.
