The new Ford Kuga has even more going for it. Bolder, stronger and more sophisticated, it’s an everyday car with an extraordinary driving experience.
The Kuga’s new grille is the key player in its transformation. It’s much larger and it catches all the attention. New contoured, body-coloured side skirts complete the smarter look while smaller headlights give it a sharper guise. Every model has daytime running lights and heated wing mirrors, and upgraded trims, the Titanium and ST-Line versions have rear-parking sensors and automatic headlights.
Leather finishing inside brings a sense of luxury to this family-friendly adventure vehicle, and a Quickclear windscreen is ultra-handy on freezing mornings. The Titanium version also comes with dual-zone climate control and multi-colour ambient lighting.
Available in three trim levels, Zetec, Titanium and ST-Line, you can choose the car that best suits your tastes and driving style. As standard, it comes with cruise control and a 4.2-inch screen displaying all the infotainment. Upgrade to the Titanium to get an 8.0-inch TFT screen in the centre of the dashboard, or the ST-Line for sport suspension and larger 18-inch alloy wheels.
Every Kuga comes with plenty of equipment to assist your drive. There’s Keyless Go, remote audio controls and a CD player and radio. Thanks to Sync 3, you can take calls on the move and it will even read out text messages so you’re always in the know. In the Titanium, you also benefit from keyless entry, navigation to guide you on the quickest route and DAB digital radio with six speakers. It also has lumbar adjustment for extra support that’s valuable on longer journeys. The ST-Line is totally sporty with aluminium foot pedals and Enhanced Park Assist which finishes your journey swiftly and safely.
A car made for a strong performance on any road, the Kuga offers swift gear changes for a smooth drive that helps you stay in control at all times. Sports-style gear-shift paddles are included on automatic variants to make shifting even quicker. Choose from two 1.5-litre petrol engines, with either 148bhp or 180bhp, and a 1.5-litre of 2.0-litre diesel with similar power outputs. Thanks to direct injection and turbo charging technology, it provides the power of a 1.6-litre unit yet has CO2 emissions of just 143g/km.
For easy yet safe motorway driving, the Kuga’s cruise control has a speed limiter as standard. ESC also helps you to maintain a steady drive. In the city, you can rely on Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitoring for a second pair of eyes to pick up on any potential hazards. These are optional additions for Titanium and ST-Line variants.
