Who are PSYV and what do they do?
PSYV is the Police Scotland Youth Volunteering Programme that aims to break down barriers and strengthen relationships for young people in the community. These youth volunteers are aged between 13-17 years old and are an opportunity for young peoples to gain insight into policing in Scotland and want to do something positive within their communities.

Our team went along to Levenmouth Academy in Fife and spent the afternoon with the team of youth volunteers and the all-electric Mustang Mach-E. We spoke about the positive impact electric vehicles like the Mustang Mach-E have on our environment to the practicalities of owning an electric vehicle, including showing them how easy it is to charge and the different options now available when it comes to charging your vehicle. The aim for these young people when volunteering with PSYV is to help make Scotland's communities safer and contribute towards the community. This is a value we also hold very strongly here at Peoples Ford as we are always on the lookout for ways in which we can support our local communities as much as possible.
It was safe to say the young volunteers absolutely loved spending time with the amazing Mustang Mach-E and learning all about EV driving and all its perks. It is community work like this that we here at Peoples Ford take a great amount of pride in carrying out. Educating the youth of our community on important matters that will shape the future such as EV driving is a very rewarding activity as it is these amazing young volunteers who are going to contribute so much to our communities in the years to come and we feel it is our duty to give them all the support they require, even if it is getting them accustomed to modern electric vehicles and how they operate day-to-day.
