The Ford Transit Minibus is a brilliant business asset. It is purpose built to take passengers wherever they need to go comfortably, safely and in style.
With its tall shape and robust stance, the Ford Transit Minibus is an assertive van that looks the part in town and the countryside. Made for practicality, the tall shape means there is plenty of headroom and shape for luggage, plus it has a large windscreen giving you an exceptional road view. Daytime running lights give it a sophisticated edge while the heated windscreen will quickly clear any misting up when the van is full and it’s cold outside.
There’s a choice of three lengths to make space for more seats, ranging from 12 to 18. Arranges with offset double seats, an aisle and another row of single seats, it’s easy for people to get in and out of the minibus. An integrated rear step comes as standard for extra ease.
Ford’s commitment to safety is especially notable in the Transit Minibus. Lane Keep Assist comes as standard to help prevent you from swerving on the motorway, as does Driver Alert that recognises if your concentration is slipping and warns you so you can pull over. Load Adaptive Control, Hill Start Assist and ESC also come as standard to keep the Transit Minibus steady on the road. A rear-view camera is optional and very helpful for parking up safely. An Immobiliser and a number of locks, including power and remote central locking, provide extra security for your van.
Behind the wheel
Long journeys are a breeze in the Transit Minibus. Eight-way adjustable seats mean you can find your most comfortable driving position and cruise control lets you relax your ankles along the motorway. Thanks to Ford SYNC with voice control, you can listen to the radio, a CD or MP3 player and change it without moving your hands from the wheel.
Ford’s new Transit Minibus has been engineered using parts that are designed to last a long time. As a result, you can enjoy less frequent services of one every two years or 30,000 miles. Ford also assures that most of its parts are easily replaceable. It’s built to withstand plenty of wear and tear with protecting cladding outside and rubber flooring inside.
Fuel-saving technologies include automatic start/stop, a gear-shift indicator and accelerator control that help to limit your fuel consumption with minimal effort from you. The latter of the three is known to lower fuel use by up to 15 percent.
The 2.0-litre diesel engines use direct fuel injection technology, again making them much for frugal. Choose between 105PS, 130PS and 170PS power outputs with Euro 6 technology, both of which put out plenty of torque for speedy acceleration.
