The new Ford Ranger Chassis Cab is the ideal donor vehicle for conversions to suit a range of specialist applications, including construction, utilities, forestry, military and rescue operators. Using rugged body-on-frame construction, and with standard four-wheel drive, Ranger Chassis Cab is built for customers who work in the most demanding environments while needing a tough, off-road vehicle to carry their specialist kit.
Standard features include
■ Single Cab design permits a maximum conversion length behind the cab of 2,518 mm
■ Heavy-duty leaf spring rear suspension and flat rear surface provides a versatile base for specialist conversions
■ 3,270 kg* gross vehicle mass (GVM) and 3,500 kg** towing capacity enables converters to build vehicles with significant load-hauling capability
■ 2.0-litre Ford EcoBlue 170 PS diesel engine delivers 420 Nm of torque through a six-speed manual transmission
Ranger Chassis Cab can be further enhanced with a range of Ford Special Vehicle Options, including a trailer tow electrical connector, high-performance batteries for increased electrical loads, and an, interface to link conversions and vehicle signals – for example, to prevent a tipper body from operating unless the vehicle is parked and in neutral.
